I like that. I'm tired by superheroes who have nothing to lose like superman. There has to be some element of risk to the superhero or there's no tension, and not being practically invulnerable and able to do pretty much anything better than anyone helps that. Then again my personal favourite take on this trope, One Punch Man, has the most powerful superhero in the world and yet doesn't fail to be very entertaining and funny.
Have you seen/read the Boys? Homelander is a great take on the omnipotent super hero. The series is about people exploiting him for profit, but also being bet careful to not hurt his ego because he could just decide to genocide the human race is he got too upset.
Just a warning, very graphic. Homelander still murders people (including babies) for fun.
Hmm. How graphic? I love jojos bizzare adventure which is pretty graphic, but berserk was a little too much for me so I stopped reading. Would you place it between those or further on?
Eh. I saw the comic, and it’s kind of a bit much. I’m not super put off by violence like that but it’s not really my thing, I’d prefer not to read something like that where I don’t have to be on edge all the time. Definitely closer the berserk than jojo’s bizzare adventure.

The comic (!CONTENT WARNING, EXTREME BLOOD AND DEAD BABY!)
Opening scene of the show (SERIOUSLY, DONT CLICK IF YOU AREN'T OKAY WITH BLOOD)

The show definitely makes it more digestible.
