It's on HBO Max right now until the 14th so I'm wondering if I should bother watching it or it'll be like the Trial of the Chicago 7
It's pretty good. Hampton is portrayed very positively and the movie doesn't flinch from his radicalism. Still seems like a movie about communists made by liberals, but they at least tried to get it right
The movie is very clearly aimed at people who didn't know much about Chairman Fred or the Black Panther Party, so you might be disappointed that they don't really mention his socialist beliefs that often, but other than that it's pretty damn good. The fact that there's a big studio film that portrays commies positively is already amazing to me lol
