Weird how there never seems to be a correct time to accuse someone of sexual assault. Damn, that's crazy.

I think that is putting the cart before the horse. He stopped being popular/a useful face of fixing covid without doing anything, so they brought back up the #metoo stuff (from last year) just so they could get rid of him/wasn't popular enough to be worth defending anymore

My wild theory is the party has a database of their predators who have given hush money to victims. When they want you gone and you won't leave, those victims are contacted and deployed. Libs will forgive just about anything political for someone on their team but won't put up with a #metoo (unless you're running against Trump).

The test for this theory will be Biden in 2024, if he/his handlers want to run again

Yeah. People don't want Cuomo to run for president and everyone knew he was a pig anyway, and he's no longer useful for the libs now that he can't play foil to Trump on TV. They turned on this loser insanely fast, though. Went from the Real Leader of the Democrats to possibly the next Al Franken overnight.

And you know why that didn't work with Biden? Fr*dophobia, that's why

I have conspiracy brain but these stories seem like an extremely conveniently timed distraction from the thing where he lied about having killed thousands of old people 🤷‍♀️

After the whole Tara Reade cover up, I can't help but to feel pessimistic about whether this will go anywhere. Cuomo will lay low for a while, msm will not cover any negative press he may get, the public will forget over time, he'll run for president and maybe even win. Shit suck

One of my pet theories is that Cuomo has been able to hide behind Deblasio. A year ago, the average NYC centrist was probably frothing at the mouth about Deblasio's mishandling of well, everything. This isn't wrong, but a lot of the issues were things in Albany (MTA, etc) that the mayor has no control over. I think the mask has slipped and those people have focused their anger back to Cuomo.

I feel like the only thing people are mad at DeBlasio about is either A. using insensitive language/slurs to describe cops or alternatively B. supporting cops in running over peaceful protestors.

I know it took me too long, but the whole phenomenon of Andrew Cuomo made it so blatantly clear that the core of American liberalism is nothing but "Govern, Me, Daddy!" authoritarianism.

(Edit/note: "Govern Me Daddy" was apparently in relation to KY governor Andy Beshear)
