It doesn't even work though, Labour got some of their highest numbers under Corbyn meanwhile under both Miliband and Starmer the party has floundered
Bro "lost" an election and somehow managed to jump in the polls... I've never seen that before or since in my entire life
Literally the last 40 years of Reagan/Thatcherism. Convincing people that individualism is the path to happiness and self-actualization, then capitalizing on the insecurities alienation creates to perpetuate the system. Like dangling a carrot in front of a donkey to make it move forward.
Neoliberals mastered the art of selling people a "better world" and now we're all chasing the dragon, looking for that next hit of feeling-successful.
Leftists could learn from that. But they still have a sizable hurdle to overcome when neoliberal institutions have such overwhelming control of the capital necessary to propagate this message.
The worst bit is that as the conservatives convince people, the right wing of labour are following what they think the people want so the whole country is slowly sliding down the fucking toilet
Consistent beliefs and policies win elections too which is what makes Labour doubly frustrating here. An empty suit like Starmer drums up nothing but apathy.
