Well... Actually yes. The only way they can win on nationalism and racism is by being even more nationalist and racist than the Tories.
Racist voters are going to vote for the most convincingly racist party. The idea that you can triangulate the perfect position in the centre of the electorate is misguided.
Even then I feel like a lot of megachuds in the UK wouldn't vote Labour on principle, they'll just vote for whatever Farage's latest grift party is. I have no idea what strategy Starmer is trying to employ here but it's fucked lmao
