These types are really easy to mess with. Just bring up China - whether you believe it’s communist or not - and they’ll immediately say “BUT THEY HAVENT TRIED REAL COMMUNISM!! ITS STATE CAPITALIST CORPORATISM!”
My go-to response to when they say something like that is: It's a vanguard party in the early stage of socialism but if you know anything at all about Marxism, you'd know that, right?
It either sets them off or shuts them down.

In seriousness, it's always funny that they always include Pol Pot and never
in their list of "scary commie names".In their defense, libs can't even agree on if we won or lost the Vietnam War. In the States up til after high school, we are taught that we either won, or at worst, just left.
And actually, I'm not even all that familiar with Ho Chi Min and should take a moment in my reading to get more familar with him. And Che too.
