THERE ARE NO CARS. WHY? WHYYY???

Americans, even when given a perfectly walk-able environment, cannot imagine a world in which personal automobiles don't exist, and insist upon blotting the landscape with unnecessary concrete.

Yeah it could be for purely aesthetic purposes, if its a medieval town it doesn't make sense but for modern cities it would look odd without the buildings spaced evenly apart

Roads are not only for cars. In many parts of the world, including where I am from, it's not very pleasant to walk anywhere unless there is a properly maintained road. No one wants to get mud all over their body just because they had to go out for five minutes. Originally roads were always meant for pedestrians, even in America.

    BUILD RAIL LINES.

I fucking hate elytras because they made all other forms of transport obsolete, and now I'm usually the only one on servers to build long rail lines. I will never use those new fangled flying machines.

Its easier to imagine the end of the world than the end of cars

I frequently get this urges to build whole solarpunk-esque cities in minecraft but I lack the friends and will to go through with it

A city whose mode of transport is purely rails and canals? :CommiePOGGERS:
