    My students love this dude, too, and their biggest worries are about their upcoming bail hearings, their trial status, or about their gang friends on the out who are getting into shit.

    It's not just for kids with no realistic worries, it is about kids who have no real solutions within the world, who are repeatedly told that they can't really change the world, and who are trying to find shit that helps them experience some amount of happiness, even if it is vicariously through some YouTube star.

    Plus, I think many or most of his fans do understand the reality of how fucked the world is, but because they see not action that they can take to actually change anything, they appreciate pretending that it's fine because of videos like this guy's. It's ultimately another form of escapism for them. Just like sports, theatre, movies, TV, books, etc are for all of us.
