Like I think guns are cool (as I said gun nerd) but at the same time they're just designed to kill stuff so. I want one, but definitely will never actually consider getting a gun due to mental health stuff personally.

that's a right of passage, you'll be fine. The only weird part is occasionally getting creeped on at a range, but that's pretty much everywhere tbh
