I have all the Harry Potter books, roast me.

(To be fair I was given them as a child)

Oof yourself, he brought a lot of people to the left and his politics are better than 99.9% of US politicians.

I can't hate Bernie. Even if he towed the party line in the end, he did a lot of good too. Gave young people hope, made me consider leftism more seriously then I used to. That has to mean something, right?

I totally get why people hate him now, but I get why people still like him too.

Absolutely. There are plenty of things he's done that bother me, especially recently. He always was the compromise candidate in my book, but he's done too much good in his life for me to trash him based on a leftist purity test that nobody could possibly pass while still attempting to change the system from within and survive.

only after she came into his office and bent the knee presumably. Even by his compromising standing by the party media line, he was remarkably grumpy in interviews RE her lol

It's possible he knew he wouldn't have to and decided not to put the onus on himself to stop her but I get your point. He supported Biden too. This isn't a 'what lib things do you think are actually leftist' thread it's a 'whats your most lib opinion' thread. The man is far from perfect but I refuse to completely throw him in the trash.

I just want people to get along. If there's any conflict I always try to mediate.

The sad thing is, this shouldn’t be a lib thing. Yeah it’s fun to dunk on chuds but if we calmly and nicely explain leftist principles to curious people or people genuinely ignorant to it due to decades of propaganda it’s better than yelling on the internet.

I like when women and minorities get into high positions of authority, even if they are fucking ghouls.

My first response was too embarrassing. I deleted it like a lib

having never fired a gun I imagine I'd just knock myself out from the recoil

Is it possible hold a powerful gun in each hand, fire them at the ground and use them to shoot myself into the sky like a jetpack? Asking for a friend.

that's a right of passage, you'll be fine. The only weird part is occasionally getting creeped on at a range, but that's pretty much everywhere tbh

I've fired the occasional gun and Americans are definitely super weird about them.

It's like a country where everyone has a powertool fetish, but the fetish included using them on minorites.

I want to have a gun, but I view them as tools. Not something to brag about.

Like I think guns are cool (as I said gun nerd) but at the same time they're just designed to kill stuff so. I want one, but definitely will never actually consider getting a gun due to mental health stuff personally.

I honestly don't know. If you asked me what's the most chud thing about me, I'd have to cut down a small forest of trees for the paper I'd need to make a complete list.

I hate Musk, but am seriously enthoused with space travel and watch every Starship launch explosion religiously. Also, ran with the (Left wing of the) Transhumanists for many years, pretty cringe tbh.

They're supposed to be terrible and sappy, it's escapism. Same reason I love comic book movies. We all need some happiness mixed in with the struggle.

Make some popcorn and pop one in. Crazy, Stupid, Love is fun and Ryan Gosling is fine as hell.

            :heart-sickle:

absolutely, people deserve to be happy! Whatever helps people cope with hell world, go for it I say.

(Unless what makes people happy is kicking babies or something, I might have to draw the line at that)

I love that you believe that too! There's so much unnecessary doomerism on the left. We have each other and solidarity means we're not alone.
