Man, this was hard to watch. At first it was really fun watching her dunk on Vaush but then she segues into talking about Vietnam and Agent Orange and damn, it's hard stuff.

    Also watching Luna’s non-political videos give incredible insight into the daily life of someone in a “global poverty” country. Like it’s not a utopia by any means, but it’s not all misery either. Like the fact that it’s normal for people to have a garden with fresh vegetables, and the skill to cultivate it. I feel like that’s been beaten out of me.

    This is a pretty major hurdle a lot of Western leftists have to get over when it comes to understanding communist countries. Throughout your life in America in particular you're taught that the USSR, PRC, DPRK, etc are basically Mordor whose leaders are shadowy ax-crazy psychotic supervillains. But when you actually learn about the histories and daily life in those countries you come to the realization "Oh, they're just another country with normal people living normal lives."
