Yeah you guys may say this is dystopian or whatever, but did you not notice this app is cofounded by a WOC who has succeeded in getting an undisclosed amount of seed funding from several major VC firms? #girlboss

Can't remember the name of the movie... but there's a SciFi dystopia movie where a person can put on a VR suit and "log in" to another person's body and run around in total control. This app sounds like a proto stages of this movie's scifi dystopic premise.

Surrogates? Thats the Bruce Willice one right? No...

I think its Gamer . Yup, definitely this one. At one point, the protagonist is being played as a character in a FPS game but the players don't know they are controlling real people who are actively killing each other.

Isn't that the premise of Cronenberg's son's new movie "Possessor", except that the body inhabiting/control is used specifically to get away with murdering people?

Damn... I literally watched that a week ago and it didn't come to mind.

        spoiler

Difference between the Possessor and the others is that Possessor's universe only has a few people being able to do the body control thing. Gamer is like the entire world has access to this technology with a bunch of the people not knowing that they're controlling living people and the controlled people are poor and/or incarcerated. Surrogates had people logging into robot bodies that looked like people so that they could avoid harm.
