I checked some of his talks out before. He's pushing for sanctions as a solution to mistreatment of Uyghurs. When have sanctions ever made a country go "oh you're right we will change our ways"?
I find it hard to trust someone who proposes that we should try to do what amounts to undermining poverty alleviation efforts in Xinjiang as a solution to anything.
