Western MLs need to stop sinking to Sam Harris-tiers of understanding of moral philosophy. I've seen western MLs say some really stupid shit on it, so it's no wonder western anarchism which has synthesized moral systems into itself better (and seems more adaptable to incorporating more as needed) would be more popular with vegans. I'm an ML since I can't see veganism being achieved except by vanguard party. Morality doesn't assert itself in the universe so it's up to beings to assert it.

Idk much about moral philosophy, but I feel like just employing the dialectic method would be enough for Marxists to recognize the inevitability of animal liberation. Humans and animals are contradictions, but life, including animal life, will outlive humanity. The question is if humanity will prolong its existence by not practicing animal agriculture or will we continue to destroy the environment and our own health with animal agriculture. This might lend itself to a more "plant based" tendency than a vegan or animal liberationist one, but they result in basically the same thing.

I support veganism but I don't think morality should play a role because there is no objective or certain moral law, but we end up in the same spot because I believe it is up to beings to assert the vision they want to see of the world, and one without killing (especially of feeling beings) is better.

You or someone else is certain they've found the true, objective moral laws to guide action; what do you do when someone disagrees and you can't convince them? Rely on actual, human and constructed laws with physical, social, personal consequences.

This is just moral nihilism mixed with a liberal conception of the state.

Somehow that assertion doesn't do anything to make a case for moral universals or their objectivity.

It may have been a while but from what I've read I think Marxists also believe the state should be used when the outcome is not subject to being influenced by discourse?

I guess I understand. A lot of this discussion revolves around philosophy and I’m not smart enough for that

Typical humans dwelling on internal human problems while completely ignoring all others natural rights to exist and not be violently killed for no reason.
