      That argument gets trotted out semi-regularly without irony. Something about how retirement benefits only used to kick in for about 3 or 5 years before the average person died.

      I always point out how the argument is a tacit admission that the arguer doesn't want to see things get better over time.

    Gross. As a person without a college degree this is splitter ass BS . How about debt jubilee and free tuition forever. Also an option for people who couldn't go to college like some kind of housing grant? Ahhhhhh!!! I'm so mad at our fail state.

    If you look at a population lifespan disparity and think "now how can we make these meet in the middle" instead of "how do we increase both of these further and bring the lagging one up to equal", you might be a liberal.

    By that logic shouldn't we have seal team six assassinating college grads the day they retire so that social security isn't unduly burdened by their freakishly long lifespan of 90-ish years?
