I can't give my state for obvious opsec reasons but I was wondering, when you renew a license through the dmv's online service, do you get a temp license in a pdf or something to print out until the card comes in the mail? It's been a while since I renewed and I totally forgot. Thanks.
It depends on the state and every state is different, but usually you'll get a receipt or a temporary interim license to use until you get the real one.

My state offers the renew option online but I believe you need to go in person to get the picture taken at the DMV for the new card.
I'm sure it depends on the state. Mine doesn't offer online renewal I actually have to go to a location and get a new picture. It's awful
Pretty certain I need to do the same, like they mail you a blank temp card then you go to the dmv and get the updated picture. But I'm just wondering if I'm correct here? The problem is, I got a doctor's appointment on Halloween and I think they need to see my ID but my card won't come in the mail by then. ofc I could show them my expired license or better yet my social security card along with medicaid ID card.
my state has added new requirements for reasons of racism, so in my upcoming renewal I have to physically bring a fucking birth certificate to renew a driver's licence I've had for 24 years
My state offered a temporary print license. It was a one-time download though so I couldn't print it after.
If you go and check your driver's record, it might say if your license is up to date if you can't get a printout
I renewed online this year and didn't get anything to print. I just kept using my old license until the new card came in the mail, fingers crossed that it would come before the old one expired. (It did.)
