The anti-Asian rhetoric and violence in the US does seem to be blurring the lines, though.

    I get what you’re saying, but I feel like you scratch the surface of 90% of the “China bad” stuff and it’s immediately revealed to be stupid orientalist smears. I don’t agree with the modern policy of the CCP but I also don’t think Chinese people are a weird hive mind of brainwashed ants.

      on the other hand while a lot of criticism of Israel is valid I have definitely seen stuff even in left wing spaces that plays on traditional anti-Semitic tropes such as blood libel

          It's a medieval conspiracy theory that jewish people used to kidnap and kill christian children to use their blood to bake a special kind of bread. Extreme nazi shit. I have literally never seen someone in a left-wing space bring it up as criticism of Israel, though.
