also some democrats actually tried to introduce a bill to ban non-cops from being able to own body armor of any kind so the partisan lines have already been drawn.
Kevlar will "only" stop pistol rounds, if a mass shooter uses an AR-15, an assault rifle or any other gun firing rifle rounds a Kevlar vest won't help at all unfortunately. You need steel or ceramic plates to stop rifle rounds.
But I get your point, it's a terrible situation and any protection is better than nothing.
The idea that you can mitigate gun violence through your own behavior is just "personal responsibility" bullshit anyways.
if the death toll gets high enough the democrats might be able to ram through a new assault weapons ban or something so the next time a bunch of people get gunned down in a supermarket, it'll be with a gun that has a muzzle brake instead of a flash hider.

this happens every time there is a mass shooting. One happens and then 2 or 3 more in close proximity. I thinks its bc the news coverage basically makes you famous and ppl with no hope and no escape in our economic system see it as a way of accomplishing something/being famous
