I'm still seeding these between 02:00-09:00 UTC every day indefinitely, so you should be able to grab these without issue. Thanks to /u/Dark_Nuts for the collection.
I'm open to alternative places to host these if torrenting is too inconvenient.
Thanks for the torrents! Does anyone have recommendations on what to watch first? I already saw Harlan County and I, Daniel Blake. Both are must-see classics. I also saw Killer of Sheep which was interesting but not very easy to watch.
I highly recommend Z. Up there for my favorite political film for a variety of reasons. I'd be happy to recommend more if you give me some idea of your taste.
Thanks for the rec!
My taste is pretty vanilla, most of my favourite movies are by the Coens (The Big Lebowski, Fargo, A Serious Man, Inside Llewyn Davis). Some other favourites include Children of Men, The Lobster, Her, Dazed and Confused, The Big Short, Goodfellas, Taxi Driver and so on.
I watched a bunch of classic movies in college (stuff like Persona, The Seventh Seal, 8 1⁄2, Breathless) and kinda hated most of them. I don't hate artsy movies but it has to be at least a little coherent, like Stalker for example. I'm also super into documentaries (Samsara is a good one) and TV shows (the Wire is my favourite).
Definite recommendations for you: Battle of Algiers, Investigation of a Citizen Above Suspicion, They Live, The Baader Meinhof Complex, Bacurau, Shoplifters, Kes
More artsy recs: Soy Cuba (narrative is straightforward but stylized in a way that might turn people off but it may be the most technically impressive film I've ever seen), Come and See (best war movie ever made, definitely know it's a brutal watch beforehand)
In another comment I mentioned some other leftist films. In terms of documentary definitely check out Finally Got the News which is on youtube and La Haine which should definitely appeal to your tastes.
Thank you for the effort! I will put it all on my watchlist!
