In my mind a boardwalk is a place for games and rides and fun, whereas a mall is a place for shopping, but there's a dave and busters in the one I just walked through

True true that's like what pier 39 is which counts for sure, but my brain immediately goes to Santa Cruz beach boardwalk and Santa Monica pier which are more like amusement parks
