Hi there, I am not really into reddit and that subreddit and would like to get your points about it. It seems there are people who see themselves as leftists and are at most vulgar marxists in the majority.
The last post I saw was about saying people who want to use real existing power structures to get Nazis fired are actually perpetuating the power of bosses and as such you have to build dual power instead of getting Nazis and Sexists fired. It ended with "which side are you on?".

You can tell these radlibs are fake Marxists because their understanding of historical materialism is limited to adolescent whining about "the PMC class". They literally only know a single thing and Marx never talked about, very weird!
Yeah folks like Amber and the red scare pod hosts tend to think "PMC" is a catchall term for "liberals" and not a specific class with specific characteristics.
Personally, I am fine with people using PMC as a stand in for yuppies or whatever, because it isn't really useful for legit analysis
Yeah true. Personally I just apply it to the c-suite execs who make hundreds of thousands if not millions per year. Because while technically they are earning a wage from their labor... for all practical purposes they are part of the capitalist class. It's a type of person that didn't really exist back when Marx was writing.
Some people apply PMC to teachers and social workers, at which point it becomes effectively meaningless
It becomes meaningless for us to talk with them, the concept remains useful - but not in the way they want us to use this tool.
I like the formular: "The wage labourer is doubly free (free to chose where to work - as opposed to serfs or slaves - and on the other hand free of capital from which to draw profits or land to draw rents from which enable them to subsist from) as such he is forced to work to subsist". This means that CEO's who have 20 years to life are not in any meaningful sense working class, when they have $16k * 20 in savings.
This is different from Marx conception of capital, but I think it is an easy to understand upper boundary. Naturally the social relations are what actually matters. Those you already outlined in your post.
The word "reactionary" is thrown around an awful lot on here but Redscare people are reactionary as hell.
Maybe they should use the cancel culture discourse for something useful and refocus it into how right to work laws are dangerous because it leads to people being fired for frivolous reasons.
