My boss just pulled me aside to talk to me about "my behavior" because we bumped into each other at lunch and he saw me having a beer with my burger. I feel like having a beer at lunch is an incredibly normal thing to do. Obviously fuck my boss but am I wrong here?
Edit: I feel like I should specify in hindsight that I was off company property at a sports bar when I was getting lunch. I was not just sitting in the break room downing a cold one
I’m a number cruncher who works in a cubicle
Tech CEO number crunchers get to do acid :(
It's called optimization. (that's for booze, but I'm sure it applies to acid)
Lmao what is that data real?? Hilarious. Also reminds me of Catherline Liu's recent Chapo episode where they talk about how the PMC is forcing recreational drugs into tools of work optimization, instead of being like fun, meditative, or making you stare into the deep black hole of reality etc.
It's a joke.
Idk I just googled Ballmer Peak and it looks like a real phenomenon
It is a real thing. Having a couple drinks does tend to improve problem solving skills... to the detriment of everything else, of course.

I have a friend that had a go at work microdosing just to see what was up. He concluded it made him fucking awful at his job

Probably don't have beer with lunch for a while then start try to get it in a glass and have a can of coke next to it.
Or maybe if you bring your own coffee to work in a thermos, or whatever those dual layered coffee cup mug things are, you can make them irished coffee with a bit of whiskey in them.
Why not just go with non-alcoholic beer then?
Why not just go with dry-water then? Cause the alcohol is the star of the show is why
