If it gets too far congress/senate will pass a law that prohibits economically important companies from unionising.

Even it that would be the case, it is still worth pursuing unionization. Capitalists aren't just going to hand things over to us, they aren't going to play "fair", we will have to force their hand in to giving us what we're owed.
