Every major artist has a phase where they do wild shit going all the way back to like Elvis but brain dead boomers are convinced this plays into the larger narrative that the USA is being subverted by satan worshiping commies. My personal fav is Miley Cyrus and the conspiracy that her dad sacrificed her and the current Miley is a body double.

My dad told me when musical artists sign a deal to a major label they all go in and pray over the master record to satan so it does well commercially lmao

So the new MJ died dying during the Pepsi commercial and was replaced with a body double?

Actually MJ truthers believe he was set up by the Jews because he had some lyrics taking a dig at them in they don't really care about us and then murdered because he was red pilled. No joke, I read this on /pol/ years ago, dunno if they're still on that shit or what.

Hearing an (allegedly) fully grown adult say "p-word" was the funniest thing

Also, not only is the whole video just unapologetically, beautifully gay, but it's also well-grounded historically, mythically, and philosophically. There's so much symbolism and I feel like I missed most of it because I just don't know enough about the history of christianity to fully appreciate everything. And there's even a quote (in the original ancient greek!) from Plato's Symposium!

I didn't expect to like this music video, my music tastes are weird and tend towards classical music almost exclusively (and video game soundtracks), but I fucking love this song and the music video that accompanies it. It's just so good. And it pissing off conservatives is a bonus.

i respect Lil Nas X so much tbh. he knows pop music isn't to be taken seriously and he's just having fun, memeing and doing his thing while being able to be somewhat subversive along the way.

What occurs in the music video that's got everyone mad?

Lil Nas X is a crazy story, dude dropped out of college and wanted to pursue music, bought a 20 dollar beat off the internet and rapped over it after buying time at a recording studios discount day, and that song turned into the biggest hit of the decade and held the number one spot on billboard top 100 for a record time.

As a huge metal head, as soon as I heard of that video, I thought "this sounds like my kinda shit." And lo and behold, it was.
