That's pretty funny, bit of glimpse into their thinking and humor. At this point they might as well release a 'fundraiser funko pop' for the consumers to get excited about for a second.

It's all empty gestures and associations, isn't it? They are barely one step above pointing and grunting. "Ooh! Thing me like!" "Ugh! Thing me no like! Bad!"

This sounds like something Madeleine Albright would have done during her tenure with like, her grand children or something. These people are so sick it just baffles me.

this comic was funny, but also it made me think about how calvin is almost never trying to get in trouble. he just has little self control and no idea what adults will find appropriate.

Oh for sure! This storyline here comes to mind: https://www.gocomics.com/calvinandhobbes/1989/05/20

(using the shitty gocomics link so people can go forward easily)

There's also the ones where he breaks his dad's binoculars; floods the house; hammers nails into the coffee table; ... I'm sure there are more that aren't coming to mind but it's an amazing aspect of the character and his relationship to the world and his family.

He thought he'd get a full size candy bar but instead walked out of there with a bag full of money

this kid wants to be optimus prime for halloween and his dumbfuck father was like, "no, i have a career to maintain, my aides have informed me that this year you will go to school as Sweater Dipshit"

This does rather capture that image of Zelensky mopishly standing in his wrinkled outfit really. Poor kid, but his disappointment is palpable and really adds to the cosplay.

Did he go around demanding a billion candies from everyone?

wholeheartedly believe they just convinced the kid who was throwing a tantrum about trick-or-treating (for whatever reason, I've been 5 before too so I get it) to put on a green shirt instead of a costume and when asked what he was supposed to be while waiting for his White House M&Ms, Blinken said zelensky-navi

"But dad I want to be Spiderman"

"You WILL put on the green sweater"
