I don't think that's entirely true. Fanservice is def. a thing in alot of his games of course, but I do think they have a unique style to them too (Some work better than others). Any developer worth their salt can just make some big tiddy anime babes and be done with it. The soundtracks to his games for example are more often than not fucking awesome.

I guess? There are indeed 18-year old high school seniors (I was one for instance), so it's not like they just made that up to cover their asses or anything. Criticizing the game for male gaze and the usual sexualized female protagonist stuff I can totally see, but I really don't think it's specifically meant as pedo-bait.

Got curious and looked it up: The wiki page at least lists her as 18.

Most people "celebrate" 4th of July like they "celebrate" Christmas. They primarily like the free day off and the opportunity to spend time with friends and family in an increasingly atomized society. The 'Merica/Jesus stuff takes a backseat and is mainly just window-dressing for that tbh.
