  • Oh I've seen this vid, it's actually really good. What really hit home for me was the little skit he does at 16:25 (until 17:45, so about a minute long). If the vid is too long for you I'd suggest you at least check out that part. It really hits the nail on the head of the issue for me, i.e. we really need to give some good dating advice to lonely young guys who are at risk of falling into right-wing pipelines.

  • If you live long enough, you either die from old age or from cancer. Choose.

That's assuming normal aging. If you "aged" by making your body think you're always 21 (or whatever arbitrary "young" age) years old then you would have strong enough immune cells to pretty much nip cancer in the bud. And hopefully the technology would also be able to "cure" any other cancers that slip your immune system. And it would have other knock-on effects like faster recovery time and faster healing time from injuries, not to mention other effects such as being able to get up the next day after a hangover or having better skin and hair and not being tired all the time. Basically anything you could do in your teenage and early 20s you could keep doing.

  • A 24 year old dating a 19 year old is weird because of the amount of growing up you do in that time period

I mean that depends on other factors as well. The 24 year old may have never matured and just lived off a trust fund and was a frat bro whereas the 19 year old may have been working a part time job while attending community college.

  • Also, I have never met a single living being who doesn’t want their aches and pain to be cured just because it’s “more natural.” Maybe in anime or capeshit movie.

michael-laugh And even then, in anime that suffering is usually only temporary and the protagonist goes back to being 100% healed.

  • I don't think I saw anyone that actually said that, last I checked.

Let’s say we eliminate aging, and we all look like we’re 25 until we keel over at age 200 or whatever. No more wrinkles, no more gray hair.

I believe that would be a worse state of the world. We will have lost something beautiful.

  • I think ethical blood plasma rejuvination could exist under communism, and would be cool as hell

(According to some on this site) Sorry brah its inherently exploitative.... Brah aging is natural and we should all get gray hair and wrinkles because I personally think it's "beautiful".... Brah come on brah...

  • Spend more time in nursing homes watching people rot to death. Or well less, honestly it is a bad scene.

Yeah seriously, I have no idea what kind of idealistic world Assian_Candor lives in. It's not just the isolation that makes nursing homes sad. It's the actual physical state that those people are in. But oh well, trying to help them in their physical ailments won't be "as beautiful" or whatever
