This is kind of true for any minority growing up in a majority white community. I kind of went through the same thing as a mestizo man in Upstate New York for most of my time there. Had almost the exact same mindset that being non-white made it harder to date. Then high school hit and girls started to call me attractive. While race played a part for sure during the early years, being fat and very socially awkward made it even worse.
He mentions preferring to be alone and I have a feeling his social skills might not be the best. Charisma can turn a 5/10 into an 11/10.

Kinda true from what I've seen anecdotally. Especially with Asian American women, there's still an element of white worship going on and accepting the prevalent "Asian males aren't sexually desirable" thing.
While I was at college the Asian and Pacific Islander Coalition (campus identity group) ended due to tensions between the men and women. Most of my friends were asian dudes so I learned a bit about the situation. The level of mistrust and resentment they would tell me about was insane. One told me about the death glares he got from Asian Women after hooking up with a WW. I couldn't imagine carrying the kind of cultural baggage I saw my friends dealing with.
i was big friends with the chinese group at our campus and there was a ton of just really gross attitudes from the men, i really dont blame the women for the kneejerk reaction of just avoiding asian spaces at campus altogether as a result just to avoid those bad apples. long story short the asian men felt like they were owed sex and relationships from the girls in the group right out of the gate before even really getting to know them. so much so that the older male chinese professor that created the group (and fun fact was a communist party member and my favorite teacher of all time, he was fucking awesome, we'd eat lunch together every day and play chess) started kicking guys out of it for creepy behavior.
That's terrible. I can understand the frustration of feeling like you can only date asian women but then asian women being able to date any race. But letting that turn into misogyny is a you problem. My guy friends were obviously better than that. One of them showed me some of the self hating reddit communities he used to be apart of and told me about how he used to resent asian women. For him the biggest difference maker was that he magically became hot between 17 and 19. That plus leaving home is what helped him grow out of it.
That professor sounds great though. I think the first communists I met were at DSA meetings. Oh, I randomly met one guy at college who was a self described stalinist. I only ever learned about it because one of his friends came up to me, very concerned, and told me he's a Stalinist. I was a pretty anti soviet anarchist at the time but all I did was shrug my shoulders and tell him, "at least he's not a fascist." I hope that was enough to maintain their friendship. i feel bad for people adopted from other countries to a mayo family. like even though im a communist i feel like adopting a black kid is just a bad idea for me for example, there is absolutely no way i can give them proper survival experience for a black person in a white supremacist country. at the very least it just sucks that so many of these kids arent usually given many ties to other asian people that can give advice and advocate for each other in these terrible situations, makes the kid lose out on so much

I have quite a few Asian guy friends, and many of them gripe about this. Also I can't get over the number of women (Asian, white, whatever) that say that they don't date Asian men. I legit think this is a real thing that disproportionately affects Asian guys.

There is absolutely nothing provided with this image that would give us any definite indication of where it came from, or who made it.
It came from a suspended reddit user who spouted race essentialism talking points on different dating subtreddits and the comic was eventually cited in an incel wiki of some sort.

My friend is Hawaiin and he's struggled with the same things. I really wish I could do more to help. He is a great guy, a bit awkward (as you'd expect of someone who doesn't get to be around potential romantic partners a lot) and is genuinely a great person. Many of his friends are queer, and he's always been very anti incel. He too struggles with this same problem. If you're going to say this doesn't exist, especially in amerikkka of all places, then you need to get a grip on what intersectionality means.
