I had a not-my-cat cat back when I was in my 20s, that absolutely loved those things. I lived in a duplex that had a shared front courtyard and when the weather was nice and I had the front door open Guapo would come over from next door and play with the one that was in my bathroom. For fucking hours. Wander the house, get some pets, play with the doorstop. If I put him outside he would just come back. If I shut the door he would stand at my door or in the front windowsill and HOWL to get back in.
