Unironically this, a la Obamacare being politically toxic until people tried to get rid of it. It could actually be good/smart for them to do to this, which is why they won't.

Exactly. It's not even taking the fall, there's so much incentive to be the "moderate" who does it!

  • Without Michael Brooks and now no Jamie it's hard to see the draw for Majority Report. I still enjoyed listening for the news from a succdem perspective with Jamie being like an avatar of the left yelling at Sam when he goes full turbolib. It sucks because I always felt like she wasn't respected by Sam but it seemed like things had been getting better recently. I even felt that Michael had treated her unfairly and because of that it was hard for her to fully voice her views, so I don't see criticizing her performance on the show as productive because how the fuck do you get your views across when Sam just argues pedantics with you over trivial shit.

Still gonna try to listen as I enjoy MR as a news aggregator but Emma has turned out to be way more lib than I was expecting so I'm not sure how much I'll be able to sit through without a solid leftist voice chiming in on things. Matt is hit or miss and too much of a pushover when it comes to challenging Sam imo. Good on Jamie for leaving if she did feel she was getting a raw deal though, it's MRs loss and not her responsibility to shoulder the bullshit just so a leftist voice can be in that space.
