this reminds me of when we were trying to deal with the admins in the og sub and the admins would not answer which rules we were breaking still
Me: This shitpost is borderline racist so I'm going to report it (one of the few times I've ever reported something)
Rebr0: (who hates me, no clue why) "Abusing the report button, ban,"
Me: :bruh:
like i never had a problem with him but he was the most online of the mods like it seemed other than sleep he was always modding it was kinda insane
He was a weird lib. He worked as a volunteer for Beto's campaign lol
No, that is a key feature of reddit's report system, it's anonymous to the moderators (but not to the admins, at some level).
But, things can be deduced. For example, if a series of bogus reports show up on the replies to one user, then it's easy to figure out that that user is probably reporting the replies that they don't like.
Have too, because like I said I got banned for using the report button, which makes no sense.
They can't. If the mods suspect abuse of the report button they have to contact admins, but the admins would ban you sitewide. Sounds like the mod just made up a reason, lol.
Unless you were to reportinh the comments of a user your were arguing with, easy to figure that one out.
They didn't even say what rules we broke when they banned us. They gave a list of the shit the_donald did, then said some vague shit about us "also breaking rules"
Like at that point we had already tried to even reduce rule breaking stuff they did not care they wanted to remove us and the chance arrived when they did the donald
We werent good for the site, I gathered, being an incredibly active community that refuses to buy gold, and obviously at odds with whatever reddit had going on in the back end, including CIA infiltration (one of the most used social media websites on earth, why wouldnt they stick their hand into the honey pot?)
The funniest shit was that whenever we asked for specifics, they were totally silent. I think once or twice they'd follow up with "it's really more of a general thing we don't have any specifics", but usually it was just radio-silence.
Then, when the talk on the subreddit was about how admins were clamping down on the site for being anti-slave owner, the admin /u/sodypop shotgunned a list of like 10 specific examples of how people were spreading this "false rumor" about the admins on the subreddit.
No time for specific examples unless it's for clearing up the narrative.
We accidentally discovered that "post hog" is chud kryptonite. So of course that meme got banned.
