i'm playing genealogy of the holy war rn! also pokemon emerald rogue, mahjong soul, and earthbound are all on and off for me rn. for my thoughts on earthbound and fire emblem, you can go here because i just wrote out a whole thing on it.

as for what i've been watching, in the past couple months i've watched the shining (very good), christine (good), killers of the flower moon (good), tetsuo: the iron man(good, very gross but cool), one cut of the dead (incredible, the third act is one of the best things i've ever seen), jurassic park (good), hardcore henry (bad, incredibly gamer brained, but a lot of fun to watch with friends while under the influence), inu-oh (incredible, just a beautiful movie), and the handmaiden (real good! very horny!)

on the anime front, i finished turn a gundam (incredible, a new favorite. you don't need to have seen any other gundam to watch it, and it just got put on youtube if you're american so you don't even have to go through the trouble of pirating it (if you're quick, it'll probably get taken down in a month or so, gundam info doesn't keep anything up there permanently. and it's worth pirating anyways because it's a gorgeous show that the youtube compression can only hurt). seriously, it's amazing and you don't need to have any familiarity with gundam to love it), and victory gundam (it was decent. good show made so much worse by all the gender essentialism and misogyny), rewatching revolutionary girl utena as is my wont (my favorite show ever. watching the finale this weekend and it's going to make me cry. also on youtube in bad quality. incredibly gay, full of all sorts of weird and creative imagery and symbolic ways to talk about the patriarchy and abuse)

also rereading dungeon meshi in preparation for the anime (which i may or may not be watching)
