See, that's the thing with passing: People don't really look trans or cis, it's just stereotypes and misogynist, racist, exorsexist, heteronormative standards of what a woman should look like. A ton of cis women look kinda "trans". Male and female phenotypes aren't these clearly seperated boxes that people neatly find into, almost everybody has some ambiguity in their secondary sex characteristics. When i look at women my age (i'm in my mid 40s), a ton of them come off as more masculine than me and it's not as if i pass amazingly well.

Likewise, when people clock you, they do not know you're trans. It's an assumption, people can't actually see if you're trans. They take guesses, and when they clock us they've just guessed correctly, but that actually doesn't mean much. It's like these tests from Blade Runner, when you need to go to such efforts to tell if somebody's a replicant, how do you justify treating them as essentially different from humans?
