Hmm, maybe you can look into getting a PO box for until you move out? You will have to pay a monthly fee, but I'm looking at the rates for USPS and it doesn't look too bad.
Honestly, might just bite the bullet on the awkwardness and give them a heads up. I wonder if there's a way to make sure they put everything in one box

If you order from one place they probably will ship everything together, especially with clothes because clothes don't take up a lot of space shipping-wise. If you order from multiple stores there will be multiple packages, though.

I've been in a very similar situation of waiting. Thankfully I have an end date to my waiting, and it's in sight (about a month left) but yeah, the trans wait is hell.
