getting diagnosed with autism/adhd as an adult is a bit unfortunate. definitely could have used that information much earlier in life lol
the reassessment of memories with the knowledge that you're neurodivergent is pretty tough. ranges from kinda funny to "wow i was done a major disservice"
understatement of the year for me. I used to get made an example of and hit for what I later found out were autistic traits.
yeah it's definitely weird to think about things in hindsight. I'm trying to just use this knowledge to be more fair to myself when I'm having trouble starting things or not communicating properly
I was diagnosed early but I still didn't do anything with that information so it was only since the last 5 years I'm dealing with my autism
I got diagnosed but then my mom told me I "grew out of it".
