just tried Shin Ramyun noodles for the first time and maybe I'm just white but damn these are actually pretty spicy. that shit cleared out my sinuses

I think the black is SUPER spicy, but maybe not.
I’m sure I’ve seen one that said something like mild, but even that might be spicier than Maruchan and the like.
I googled it and the regular "black" flavor is supposed to be less spicy, but there's also a "SUPER SPICY" flavor which also comes in a black package but says "red" on it so that's probably what you're thinking of:
