Our medical professionals, everyone. 50% of them were in the bottom 50% of their class, and it shows.

it's not just the bottom 50%... the majority of doctors are out-of-touch morons with a superiority complex, the fact they are often from rich backgrounds and have never been told no shows constantly. the fact they are on this pedestal in society like priests were in the past needs to end. they are just some guy.

Exactly! And this plays into why half of them don’t need to try that hard in school either. As long as they graduate it’s not what they know it’s who they know.

I directly hold them accountable for not simply continuing to treat women in states where abortions were made illegal. I wanted to see 1000 doctors arrested for giving life saving care. They would deserve the respect they receive in that world. In reality they chose comfort and security over their patients' lives.

Like medical students say, "Cs still get MDs".

Not really. Most premed students don't get into a med school. Plus Cs don't get scholarships to med schools so it's around 400,000 for premed and 300,000 for med school.

Which is wild as I know someone going for a masters in social work, but the conditions set by the school says that she can't get below a B more than twice on anything. But sure, we need doctors, so let 'em all in!

I've heard that saying twice now, once irl and now here.

Is this supposed to denigrate physicians? Bc it's no different than saying 50% of chefs suck at making food while 50% are great at cooking.

I use it to denigrate anyone who is the braggadocios types that think they are amazing just because of their profession.

I’ve used it to describe software engineers and lawyers as well.

Isn't it meant as a satire on disingenuous use of statistics?
