The ETR 600 is a class of trains built by Alstom, and are used on the routes between Roma-Bolzano and Roma-Trieste. The train tilts, using Pendolino technology, allowing higher speeds to be maintained through corners without causing discomfort to passengers. The trains are operated by Trenitalia, originally under the Frecciargento (Silver Arrow) branding used for trains capable of travelling between 250 km/h and 285 km/h, In 2022 they were rebranded under Frecciarossa (Red Arrow) after the Frecciargento branding was retired.
The ETR 600 has also been adapted for use in China as the China Railway CRH5 Hexie. Initially 60 sets were ordered, of which nine were manufactured by Alstom and 51 by CNR Changchun Railway Vehicles. Since, another 80 sets have been created for a total of 140, operating across China's north from Beijing to Ürümqi.

Omg no price tag stores are cray-zee.
I’m guilty of being an insufferable goth that wears most black, dark green and the occasional dark denim blue, lol.
How is Japan? I have never been!
Japanese fashion is so cool though
I'll have you know that I suffer goths very well
The first thing that hit me was it's fucking hot. I am from a not very warm place and Tokyo in October is like a few degrees below our peak summer temperatures. I was not ready for it coming from a foggy 45 degree morning lol. Everyone seems very fashion conscious but it still seems constrained by what's "acceptable". Like everyone seems to be very rigidly following a specific style and I get the feeling their whole wardrobe is based on that. Whereas I'll wear anything from any style, totally chaotic, depending on my mood (need to get a lot more clothes to really make that work, though).
I've only had one meal but it was amazing how cheap, good, and fast it was. Like 90 seconds from ordering to eating. It was Japanese curry with a side of udon for $5. It would probably be $15 minimum in the US. I went to a game center with all the Bemani games and played some IIDX and watched two OL-looking women absolutely shred level 10-11s getting AA or AAA every song.
Oh, yeah, fully 90% of women are wearing heels and walking everywhere like it's nothing. My feet hurt just watching them but also jealous that it's seemingly easy for them. I'm at a constant crossroads of wanting to wear the cute shoes but also hating shoes in general lol. If my feet weren't enormous I'd probably have a shoe addiction.
I've been to a few vintage stores and they love American t-shirts. Like, somebody's high school marching band made shirts in the 90s and one found its way here and is priced at ¥8980 ($70ish). I feel like I could raid all my high school friends' closets and start a boutique here.
Today I am heading to a very small town for the next week to unwind which will be a huge shift from Tokyo. There's still a fucking train, though, and I'm very excited to ride it to all the little towns out there.
That all sounds rad. Also 40 degrees in October? Is that normal???
Not to indulge you, but there are definitely stores out there for folks with large feet! I’m sure you can get some leads if you hit up the power of the trans mega.
I’m pretty regimented in my wardrobe, it really helps keep the cognitive load down for me to have a set of different things I can just switch thru the seasons with variations mainly on accessories.
So jealous of the access to public transit.
40-45 is pretty normal for 6 in the morning in October. It's fairly unusual to get a day with a high over 75 past September, though it's getting more common
I have to wear a uniform at work and it's all unisex so no skirts or femme tops. When I'm at home I'll just throw on whatever's comfy but seeing friends or going out I like to get weird with it.
Hell yeah, get weird with it
