Xenia, the fox girl mascot of Linux, was first designed in 1996 by Alan Mackey. She was meant to be an alternative to Tux, the official mascot.

She had fallen into obscurity, but was noticed by a Twitter user in 2019 and was redrawn as a fox girl. But as it turned out, Xenia was originally meant to be male! The original creator, Alan, was cool with this, saying "It matches the transition of a lot of the smartest, nerdiest Linux users I know" and "And sure, you made her trans!".

So now we have a trans Linux mascot. And I think that's neat.

When i did social security i took my court ruling to the ss offices and took a number. They called me up after a while and gave me paperwork to fill out. Then they did a thing in their systems and said i was all set, and the changes should be live the next day. The paperwork is also available online if you want to fill it out beforehand, to save some time.

When was that? Looking at the current rules (online), it says that you don't need to justify gender marker changes.

To clarify, I am not changing my name at this juncture, just my gender marker.

Its not really justification, its just the magic paper that says "change this persons name to this and marker to this". I think you need the same if youre changing your name only? So perhaps you can do it much more easily, cause the name part was primarily what the paperwork was about, just a couple boxes for marker stuff.
