What do y'all think is the reasoning behind Beautiful Things?

I feel like it's playing into the absurdity and controversy to normalise it so that it can't be weaponized at any point, but it's wild to me that the administration is doing it via a whole book about his addictions.

Especially insane after they just had staffers demoted or asked them to resign if they smoked weed...

On the one hand I want to stan Hunter as being a fellow failson and an addict but on the other it's wildly hypocritical and he has a bourgeoisie family that protects him while the rest of us are thrown to the wolves.

Agreed. People should be able to be open about struggles with addiction, general life issues, etc. without being judged, but I feel like his relatable issues have overshadowed his massive political (@Ukraine) and generally douchey (gun, affair with brother's widow) actions which did not come with a modicum of accountability or legitimate review. I don't think those things should end a person's career or make them a 'bad' person by any means, but reactions to his bullshit seem off in respect to general conduct of American media/society.

I'm begging you, don't give the horseshoe theory dweebs anything to work off of, and don't use shit quality journalism just because you like what it has to say. At least archive it so we're not literally funding Rupert Murdoch, that's reverse-praxis.

liberalism is when you try to prevent Rupert Murdoch from getting ad revenue

Liberalism is when you're terribly concerned about Hunter Biden's reputation for some reason. IDGAF about archiving or whatever.

I don't give a fuck about Hunter Biden, he's a ghoul and we can throw him in the gulags as soon as possible (although if you had any close friends or family members struggle with drug addiction you wouldn't be so quick to weaponize it).

Please consider giving a fuck about archiving. And please consider not amplifying Fox News on a left-wing discussion form. The author of this article has literally wrote two articles defending Gaetz in the pat 24 hours. Don't stand for that.

Comrade, I'm absolutely not going to stand for people sharing articles from pedophile-defenders here. I don't care if you want to call me "Reddit", I'm firm on this one.

Someone has to keep the liberals in line. They're running wild. This guy is worried someone might say something bad about infamous crackhead Hunter Biden.

When the right tries to make Hunter sound corrupt, they really make him sound like a gigachad.

I put tea in my bong once or twice in high school when I ran dry. I should reach out to Hunter some time, see if he wants to be friends.
