I mean, the top voted comment was: "I mean I’m skeptical of a rushed or botched vaccine due to capitalism wanting shit to reopen asap but I don’t believe they cause autism or have tracking microchips in them."

Which seems like a perfectly valid opinion to me.

There's a difference between thinking pharma companies may not be 100% altruistic and thinking all vaccines are evil.

Well the top-voted comment, by a good margin no less, would seem to imply that it's the most popular opinion, at least of anyone reading, no?

Even then, it's not like every other person was frothing at the mouth about vaccines being demon blood or something like that.

I suppose if you think the community no longer has any potential I won't stop you, but I think there's still plenty of good shit here and I think your voice is important. Especially to help with some of the more unfortunate opinions like anti-vaxx stuff. So if you think it's unsalvageable that's one thing, but if you're just moving around until you find a perfect community I don't see the point.

I mean, you do you I guess.

Personally I didn't really see any Melissa McCarthy-level stuff that truly disturbed me.

Putting too much time or energy into anyone thing has a tendency to dissolve boundaries around that thing, especially if it’s toxic. Enjoy the grill pill, comrade

Copy and pasting my comment from your previous thread:

I’d never tell you what to do or what to feel, but just from my observation that thread was pretty civil and full of posters raising good points and voicing their hesitations in good faith. I didn’t really see anyone saying anything that would make me raise an eyebrow otherwise. You do what you gotta do though.

Take a break though if you think you need it, logging off is good.

Yeah the borderline anti vaxx stuff sucks tbh. I put up with it because there's really no where else better on the internet but I understand why it would make people want to leave. Taking a break is good as well.

FWIW, I was vaccine hesitant and the community on here pushed me to change my opinion. I'm getting the moderna one next week.

Lydia I think you're cool and I'm sad to see you go.

I think this site is fun to be on if you don't take it super seriously and have dedicated time to not post as well. I hope you want to come back eventually, but if not, I hope life treats you well 💜

Vaccines babyyyy I don't care what version it is inject that shit directly into my veins. Tbh the hand wringing about how we need to protect vaccine IP because western nations are the best and only ones that can manufacture them then having some of the vaccines be rushed and have issues is funny.

Any vaccine is better than no vaccine, but the J&J/AZ blood clot thing is just a fantastic example of how bullshit that narrative is.

The covid vaccine is an intramuscular vaccine and you should not, quote, "direct that shit directly into your veins"
