    BTW, this also includes a backdoor that trans people can be excluded from baptism and acting as godparents when it "could cause confusion or scandal", so any parish can be as openly transphobic about this as they want to. Also the wording is super fucking weird and could imply this only applies to people with bottom surgery, and i don't feel comfortable with the idea that a papal decree includes a section that priests may interpret as a license for a spontaneous genital inspection.

      Refusing baptism is bizarre though. Like doesn't that mean they basically think you aren't human and are unworthy of saving? Literally as far from Christ's teachings as possible

    wait are/were there rules about categories of people who couldn't be baptised?? i thought the point was baptising the maximum amount of people, then grousing about & excommunicating people that dont follow the stupid rules
