I haven't played it but I did whatch hbomb's whole long ass video essay on it and it sounds interesting.
Link to the essay? Cause for sure I won't play the game but would like the story.
sulmatul also has a good video on it, which surprisingly manages to cover a lot of different stuff
I played through both the first and second games starting last fall and I unironically think they might be some of the best games I've played. Really loved the plot and characters and loved how the gameplay itself was integrated with the story progression. I know the series isn't for everyone, but yeah I will always recommend this series if someone doesn't mind difficult games. I can't wait for the Bachelor route later this year and I'm also really excited to see what they do with the Changeling route down the line 👀
I think Rock Paper Shotgun got it right with this sentence: After drawing up this blueprint for a brazenly intellectual game that covered all this new ground in so many different directions, they still wanted more. Specifically, I think they wanted to be art
It really is quite a unique game.
I spoiled everything for myself on the wiki and feel no need to play it, but I like the world it built.
From what I've heard/watched the game looks really cool and could *potentially * fill a similar narrative role as Disco Elysium but with more gameplay
But I've started to enjoy game less and struggle to play singleplayer games nowadays, so I don't think I would get anywhere in the game before putting it down and never picking it back up
