For context:

David Jeffrey Frum is a Canadian-American political commentator and a former speechwriter for President George W. Bush, who is currently a senior editor at The Atlantic as well as an MSNBC contributor. In 2003, Frum authored the first book about Bush's presidency written by a former member of the administration. He has taken credit for inspiring the phrase "axis of evil" in Bush's 2002 State of the Union address.

Most libs don't give a shit about anything other than their own wellbeing. If a million brown people have to be murdered so they don't have to see the dang cheeto on TV then so be it.

Trump was a cash cow for the media and the stories they churned out to cash in (e.g. RUSSIA RUSSIA RUSSIA) were designed to provoke lib anxieties so they'd keep coming back to watch Rachel Maddow say the same shit for four years and keep forking over money for their WSJ and NYT subscriptions.

This in turn did result in legitimate mental distress which of course impacts their wellbeing. They care about that more than the actual effects of anything Trump ever did.

        Trump played his role wrong.

He was rude, impolite, had a disturbing anti-elitist flavour (not politics though) and he was saying the silent part out loud, making it hard for libs to maintain their delusions about the system being just.

If you want to hate David and his wife, Danielle Crittenden, even more; read their account of the time she got so terrified of two Muslim dudes praying in an airport lobby that she made David report them to airline employees as terrorists. Then when the airline refused to remove the men from their flight (cuz they were doing absolutely nothing wrong) David and Danielle choose to cancel their flight and spend an extra night in Paris rather than get on the plane (which, surprisingly had absolutely nothing happen midflight).

Even a decade later Crittenden had this to say

Now, nearly seven years later, and in the wake of the Juan Williams incident, I ask myself: Would I make that same decision again?

Without question. And I hope I would still have the guts to report a troubling passenger to an airline clerk without fear that I might be branded racist.

    One reply

One of my friends on Facebook said that I stopped posting about the news nearly as often. My response was "That's what I voted for."

Every reply is an agreement. Where are the people calling him out? Can he block or delete dissonant tweets?

I don't know. I was looking and haven't seen anything. I think he was just memory holed or he benefited from Bush's rehabilitation.

You don't even have to know who he is to ridicule the sentiment that he's espousing. It's ludicrous and our of touch to think that Biden is creating joy worldwide, or even with the majority in the USA.

It’s ludicrous and out of touch to think that Biden is creating joy worldwide, or even with the majority in the USA.

I'm not doing this to defend Biden, but more to illustrate a point: Biden has a higher approval rating than Sanders with young people (or at least within a few points). Elon Musk has a 50% favorability rating among Americans (and 26%) undecided. Every time you see an Elon Musk tweet that's like "Bitcoin bacon Rick & Morty" and you think "this guy's a fucking idiot", the average person is like "Holy crap, this guy is pretty epic."

The psychodom of normies cannot ever be overstated.

Liberals want a brutal apparatus of oppression and exploitation, at home and abroad, to protect their class interest. But they don't want to know about it. They want it to be done as discreetly and silently as the decisions are made by the board of a corporation.

Instead they want to be fed feel good theatre about civility, lack.of conflict and the prettiest of liberal democratic fantasies.
