My god, the whole thing is about how non Western countries cant handle nuclear power and should leave global protection to the Justice League (America). Can someone just tell me what the least imperialist episodes are? I just want to watch some capeshit

update: just watched them. Pretty good. Probably about as meta and anti military as you're gonna get watching DC/Marvel.

Yeah making the general well intentioned pretty weak but don't know how better you could get really. Still love the under dog vibes.

If you like cross overs, there's the multi part with Once and Future thing. And if you want the epilogue to Batman Beyond, it's part of JLU with the name 'Epilogue'.

I'd say avoid 'Hawk and Dove' because it's a both sides-y approach with the eponymous heroes trying to handle civil war in a fictional country.

But the early episodes are pretty good. And the ones with Amanda Waller paint the US as pretty sketch.

      do not watch Red Son

lmao I literally got 30 mins into that shit before Lois' girl boss speech about the USSR being bad & America being good made me turn it off haha

Oh yeah, saw that one. Lmao @ the museum scene where the lady is like "everyone's brainwashed now just as Karl Marx intended"

Forget these shows, watch Harley Quinn

Has good politics, writing, pretty funny, plenty of cameos from other DC hero’s casts. Also iirc it’s the only non-comic medium that acknowledges Harley’s relationship with Ivy.

One caveat is that it’s pretty gruesome.

Damn, Unlimited has so many good episodes. Prefer it to the previous one by a lot.

    Some of my favorites:

    • For the Man Who Has Everything

    • Task Force X

    • Double Date

    • Patriot Act

Other than that cringe Hawk and Dove episode, I would just watch through it all if you already watched JL prior. Been a while, but I think the politics are slightly more based than the original too.

the only one of these prestige super hero shows i've seen was a couple eps of the new watchmen series. honestly i don't imagine they're that good and i'm fine not seeing them.
