The Warsaw Pact was a mutual-defense treaty between the Soviet Union and other Eastern Bloc socialist states. Created in reaction to the growing threat of NATO, it, along with NATO, was a significant contributor to the proxy wars carried out throughout the Cold War. Although its only direct military action was the invasion of Czechoslovakia, its message and effect was far reaching, and its formation was a key landmark in the brewing Cold War. After over three decades of its existence, every country involved had withdrawn from the pact as Communist governments in the area began to weaken and dissolve.

    I'm actually kinda surprised how absent Biden is. I think when historians are writing about his single-term presidency, they'll basically say "a lot was going on in the world but the Biden presidency didn't really accomplish much". Basically the Gerald Ford presidency 2x. There won't be any memorable speeches or moments. And if he's this absent now, just imagine what he'll be like by 2024 when his brain is absolute pudding.

    Both keyboard and touchpad are dead on this machine, as is the weird little plastic nipple thing in the middle of the keyboard, so I now have a USB keyboard and a Wacom tablet hooked up to this shitty goddamn HP laptop. :angery: God is really trying to tell me to log off but I will never stop posting
