In my years on the Internet, I have seen so much weirdly angry content in all kinds of formats where the punchline was furries being violently murdered. The hate is so ludicrously overblown and looking back on it has distinct reactionary overtones that got somewhat obfuscated with it being directed towards a weird subculture mostly treated as a punchline (that also happens to have lots of neuroatypical and queer people in it)
I mean it's just variations on being into cartoon animals, and the idea of cartoon-animalifying yourself, right? I feel like people make a bigger deal out of it than is warranted like it isn't that bizarre or arcane
Just out of curiosity (furriosity?) do you mean like bad for the individual consuming it or socially bad? I tend to think the latter of most porn, but it's hard to see how furry porn specifically would be a social ill, whereas there's lots to find wrong with much of hentai for example
