Explaining to Americans that China has a "right to exist" and therefore any actions taken against the Uyghur's are justified. :big-cool:

I do not understand the "right to exist" argument, outside of the purely logical "because it's meant to reframe the argument" of course. Literally, anything can have a right to exist. And isn't there also some saying about "your right to swing your arms ends when it meets my face". That's as far as a "right to exist" can go.

Britain was literally risen from the ocean by heaven itself. If anywhere has a right to exist it's that place.

When Britain first, at Heaven’s command

        Arose from out the azure main;

excuse you sweaty, but ackhtually its:

rule, reeftannia! reeftannia rule the waves!
britannia never never never shall behave

when britain first, at transbian’s command
          sank beneath the azure main,
this was the charter of the land,
and vanguardian comrades sang this strain:

the nations not yet blest as thee,
must in their turn to torpedoes fall,
while thou shalt flourish great and free:
the dread and envy of them all.

England has a right to exist at the bottom of the sea.

Literally, anything can have a right to exist.

To that point, shouldn't the logical follow up be "If something has 'the right to exist', exactly what form or configuration does it have 'the right to exist' in?"

The wording, I believe, is expertly crafted to suggest that Palestine does not have a right to exist.

It's like Gob's banana stand ad - the middle Eastern state that has a right to exist.

I think it's also about leveraging people's sentiment about the holocaust. So they can frame "denying the right to exist" as a continuation of anti-semitism

I wonder why those nations so staunchly support each other? :blob-no-thoughts:

Believing that the Zionist Government has no right in Palestine, never had any right in Palestine, and never can have any right in Palestine, the presence, in any one generation of Palestinians, of even a respectable minority, ready to die to affirm that truth, makes that Government for ever a usurpation and a crime against human progress.
