They definitely did. Don’t get me wrong cyber bullying still happens but this generation grew up learning how to deal with that the same way other generations learned how to deal with in person bullying too
Honestly I would be worried about a physical threat, I could 100% see some bloodthirsty chud trying some shit considering how much right wing media is whipping this up
yeah, i'm on the older end of the zoomers but i vividly remember being like 11, playing WoW, and having some guy rant and rave that he could trace my IP address and would find me, cut off my head, and shit down my neck, as well as do some pretty unpleasant sexual things to my family. All because i was tanking badly lmao. I just remember screenshotting it and laughing. The important thing being that that was definitely not the first time, it was normal.
You get used to it and pretty quickly realise that anyone behind a screen never follows through on their bullshit, and that any problem that goes away when you turn your moniter off is only worth laughing at.
I remember how horrific and traumatic my first few nuclear internet arguments were. Maybe you're right, and her generation just grew up with it.

That's fucking nuts. No one should have to deal with that sort of abuse. But ya it happens.
