Kind of the same thing here. I quickly noped out of the atheist "community" when I realized they only cared about women and LGBT people when it was an excuse to shit on Muslims. Otherwise it was full of anti-feminists and the same moral panic about LGBT people that you see from fundamentalist Christians.

Also major props to the Sargon-Michael Brooks debate for helping me fully abandon my former atheist debate-brainworms. I was never into Sargon and it wasn't a particularly good debate, but a lot of the things Sargon said sounded like things I might've said ages ago and Brooks responses to them were so clear, concise and really laid bare to how empty and unhelpful Rational Atheist™️ critiques of Islam actually are. God damn I miss Michael. :deeper-sadness:

If they can wash their hands of the situation, a lot of people will. That's the beauty of centrism.

        :liberalism:

The number of times I hear edgy liberals say 'sky daddy' in their ineffectual rants...

Early Zionists were secular nationalists and early Palestinian resistance was secular nationalist too. This is the most shit for brain take of all time.

This dummy supported the azerbaijani irredentist war over nagorno-karabagh.

Secular nationalism is just a shifting around of symbols. Religious symbols are replaced by the state, the good people and the others.

He's still in the thick of it. pure liberal ideology.

Yeah it's really not uncommon for a conflict about land to have one religious group on one side and another religious group on the other
